| Terry Nathan, Executive Director of the Independent Book Publishers Association (formerly PMA), located in Manhattan Beach, CA, began his career in the world of book publishing at the ABA Show in Anaheim, CA in 1992. At that time, the association had reached a plateau with 900 members and the world of independent publishing was just beginning to explode. Over the past 18 years, Terry has played an integral part in helping the association grow to its current level of 3,200+ members. Under Terry’s leadership, IBPA continues to offer cutting edge educational programs and low-cost marketing programs, keeping close to mind IBPA’s motto of “Helping Each Other to Achieve and Succeed.” Terry also advocates for the rights of independent publishers, helping to level the playing field for small and mid-sized publishers. Terry grew up with his five brothers in Hermosa Beach, CA, enjoying the Southern California lifestyle. He moved to San Diego in 1984 where he received his MBA from National University. Terry resides in Southern California with his wife and two beautiful young children. When he is not working, Terry enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. |
